Live Music: Andrew Wakefield
Friday October 3rd
Andrew Wakefield is a progressive bluegrass guitarist, songwriter, and singer based in Chimney Rock, North Carolina. Career highlights include opening for and performing with Molly Tuttle and Ketch Secor, performing at Blue Ox Fest and AVL Fest, radio spins at FM stations around the country, and performing at WDVX Knoxville's live radio show the Blue Plate Special. Bluegrassish, his debut album, reached 50,000 Spotify plays. His YouTube channel has 40,000+ views and over a thousand hours of watch time. Andrew has been written about by The Bluegrass Standard, Relix Magazine, Asheville's Mountain Xpress, and Knoxville Voyager.
A knack for song-craft and an unbridled passion for the guitar has made Andrew an underground bluegrass fixture as word of his talent continues to spread. Pouring his soul into live performance, he brings the American roots music community something always needed: a sound and style of his own.

Live Music: None of the Above Bluegrass
Friday October 10th
None of the Above has been performing in the Piedmont Triad area with their bluegrass-based acoustic music for well over 25 years. By working with traditional bluegrass instrumentation, NOTA has crafted a unique sound, maintaining its traditional roots while drawing on each member’s interpretation and contribution to arrangements. This ultimately produces a sound that lives up to the name: None of the Above.

Live Music: Asheville Mountain Boys
Friday October 17th
By their name, you know where they are from, and by their sound, you know what they are about. The Asheville Mountain Boys are on a mission to capture not just the style but the spirit of traditional bluegrass. Asheville, NC has long been known for great music and its roots in bluegrass go back to the founding of the genre (Bill Monroe’s first broadcast performance as the Bluegrass Boys was at Asheville radio station WWNC in 1938) A group that firmly stakes its claim to the tradition of the music from the area, The Asheville Mountain Boys spring onto the scene with a thought,” What happened to bluegrass?” It’s not a disparaging one that condemns current styles in the genre but rather asks, “Why do we love this music in the first place” and answers with an approach that is true to the originators of the genre in the sense of both style and philosophy. Bluegrass is raw emotion, excitement, drive, and authenticity. It is not sanitized or compromised but a reflection of the lives of those who play it. It’s storytelling that follows a throughline of tradition.

Live Music: Drive Time
Friday November 7th
Drive Time is an innovative bluegrass band based out of Roxboro, NC. The band is known for their hard driving sounds and sweet, high harmonies.
