Rain Check is the assimilation of 4 musicians who, during their childhood, probably told their parents that they really wanted to do things their own way, rather than relying on the tried and true.

Doing so led to their coming together in 2002 around the mission of crafting a foundation of quality bluegrass music, onto which is added a layer of original songs from each of the members, and topped with a long list of covers of songs by some of the greatest songwriters of all time.  They think of it as bluegrass without borders.
